Getting Started with Wishlists on KeepMyWish

Welcome to KeepMyWish

KeepMyWish makes it easy to create, organize, and share your wishlists with the people who matter most. Whether it's for a birthday, holiday, or just because, here's how to get started.

Creating Your Account

Sign up with your email and password - we'll automatically generate a username for you. Your username becomes part of your public profile URL, and you can change it anytime in your profile settings.

Adding Your First Wish

Once you're logged in, click the Make a Wish button to create your first wish. You can:

  • Paste a URL - we'll automatically fetch the product title, image, and price. You can edit any of the pre-filled fields
  • Add a title and notes - describe exactly what you want
  • Set a price and currency - let gift-givers know the budget
  • Upload an image - add or replace the photo of the item

Organizing with Wishlists

Create multiple wishlists to organize your wishes by occasion or category:

  • Birthday Wishlist
  • Holiday Gift Ideas
  • Home Improvement
  • Books to Read

Simply create a wishlist and add wishes to it using the folder icon on each wish card, or select wishlists when creating a new wish.

Make It Yours

Personalize your profile to make it stand out:

  • Upload an avatar - crop and adjust your profile photo
  • Add a bio - tell visitors a little about yourself
  • Pick your username - change it anytime in profile settings
  • Switch to dark mode - easy on the eyes, toggle it from the navbar

Sharing with Others

Share your profile link or individual wishlist links with friends and family. You can even generate a QR code for easy sharing in person. They can:

  • Browse your wishes without an account
  • Reserve items so others know what's being gifted - even without an account via email verification
  • Save wishes they like to their own saved list for later

Tracking Your Gifts

When you receive a gift from your wishlist, mark it as gifted to keep things tidy. This lets everyone know the item has been taken care of.

Tips for Great Wishlists

  1. Add variety - include items at different price points
  2. Be specific - add notes about color, size, or preferences
  3. Keep it updated - remove items you've already received
  4. Mark favorites - use the "Most Wanted" feature to highlight top picks

Happy wishing!
